Excellent raw feel of Aerosmith as they promote their brand new album, "Get Your Wings". Same as recording "One Way Street" except "Milk Cow Blues" is omitted.
Erotic Dreams/One Way Street - Same show different mixes. It is strange, but not uncommon to find different source tapes for the same broadcast. That is the case here. In this instance it effects mostly the guitars as well as some bottom end. I would call One Way Street, the Joe Perry mix, because Brad Whitford's guitar is somewhere off in the distance. This is interesting if you want to study Joe's 1974 guitar prowess, however, for a full rich mix of all the instruments, Erotic Dreams, is superior. One Way Street does have the advantage of one more song (Milk Cow Blues), but the sound is thinner and it lacks a bit of bottom. This is a great show, as they roll out tunes from the new album at the time, Get Your Wings. Great Lord Of The Thighs and the rarely played, after this era, Woman Of The World. One Way Street is another highlight, with Joe Perry introducing the song by saying, "As you know every band from Boston has a harp player, and here's our harp player to play a little rock 'n' roll for ya!" Could this be a knod to the J. Geils Band? I've always thought so, as these bands had a bit of a Boston rivalry in those days. Both of these releases are highly recommended for both sound and historical value. If I had to choose one I'd pick Erotic Dreams for the complete mix. It's also a treat to compare the two, if you are so inclined.
