Here comes a collection of very early full-band performances from The Posies, courtesy of
former drummer Mike Musburger's tape collection.
Tracks 1 - 12: Up & Up, Bellingham, May 29th, 1988
This is their earliest full-band show recording known to exist. We've got a tape dub of the
original soundboard cassette. The sound is...okay. Lots of drums and vocals, typical for
a small club soundboard. The band hasn't really got it together yet but it's charming to
hear them get their footing. Lots of covers and most of Failure, plus an insane mashup of
The Beatles and Neil Diamond. Very fun and awkward at the same time.

Tracks 13 - 18: Rehearsals, Seattle band house, Summer of 1988
A boom box in the corner of the practice room often yields some great recordings and these
tracks prove it. The band are quite lively and their performances improved. Of course,
most bands I've played with always sounded better at practice than in concert!
