      Greatest Hits, Vol. 1: 1964-1966 falls short of being a truly definitive compilation, stopping shortly after Jeff Beck joined the group and thereby leaving off anything from Roger the Engineer on. Still, as a collection of early singles, plus highlights from Five Live Yardbirds, this is first-rate, containing their tough blues-rock ravers and their first forays into psychedelia.
